Coming home!

We are coming home! We cannot wait to tell you all about our mission trip in Slovakia. We had a great week and worked very hard. Our host IMB folks were very gracious and took great care of us. I wish that we could have kept up with the updates - but the internet was not available very much. Once we all get over jet lag - we will tell you all about it. We spent the day in Vienna today -- and had a great time. We are coming home tired!

We look forward to seeing you all at the airport at 6:15 pm at Delta baggage claim.

Greetings from Lucenec

Today we arrived in Lucenec and gave a concert for the students from the local high school. They really seemed to enjoy New Covenant, especially the up beat music. After lunch we will hand out fliers about our evening concert. We will be staying in homes again tonight. We really enjoyed this in the last town, and had fun experiences to share with everyone. I am sure that you will hear about it...

We are having a great time. Thank you all for your prayers.

The students are all well and rested today. More to come.....

We are here~

Hello everyone. We arrived safely on Saturday morning.
We spent the day in Bratislava with our IMB friends mostly just trying to stay awake. After a good night
of sleep, we were up early to sing at the Baptist church there. We sang about six songs and Gilbert preached. The church there sang some hymns and choruses that we know,so we sang along in English. In the afternoon we drove to Klenovec which was about four hours away. Most of the kids took a well deserved nap so that we arrived refreshed to have dinner and meet our host families. How exciting for them to stay in the homes of the Slovakian people. Our particular home did not speak a lot of English, so we did a lot of sign language....
This is just day one of being in the schools and I coud not be prouder.Your studnets are doing an outstanding job~
They are teaching English classes, allowing the students here an opportunity to use their conversational English skills.
Later today we will give a concert outside and have been asked to share a testimony.
In the evening, we will have dinner and spend some more time with some of the students here at the school.
I will post pictures as soon as I can.
Phone access is very, very limited but Gini in the music office should have the cell number by now if you need to speak with me. I will hopefully be able to get the kids to an internet cafe in the next day or two so that they can all email you.
Please continue to pray. It is amazing....beautiful country and beautiful and gracious people. You would be very proud.God is good.My prayer is that none of us would ever be the same again.
