Day 5 - Thursday

Today was a great day! We did our usual Morning ministry - VBS and Construction!
In the early afternoon, we had the opportunity to sing at the Sterling House assisted living complex. What a joy! We sang, shared and visited with the residents there!

Tonight we had a great time at our Thrift Store Formal! It was a super way to end our time here in Columbia!

Day 3 and 4!

Needless to say - we have been very busy and are having a great time doing it. Tuesday and Wednesday brought 2 more days of VBS and construction projects. On Tuesday evening we sang and shared at a local homeless shelter. What an experience for our students!
Wednesday evening we were able to sing at Kilbourne Park Baptist Church. We presented "WHO AM I?" What a great time with the sweet people of this church. They have been observing our students all week in VBS - so I think it meant a lot to get to see them leading in worship!

Last night was an AMAZING time of worship as we entered into a service that I called "The Underground Church experience."
Please ask your students about it. I almost cannot describe to you what happened with words. In fact, I just really cannot articulate what took place......
The Holy Spirit blew all over that place. Repentance. Crying out to God. Praise. Scripture. Prayer. Silence. Lord's Supper. Reconciliation. Conviction.
I asked that you pray that some of the kids would be 'marked' for Christ -- well I am here to tell you that HE DID!!!!

We are refreshed. We are ready, Lord, for revival. We accept the pruning. We are ready to follow you.....

Day 2

Great 1st day in VBS and Construction!! I think we had 75+ kids in VBS - our kids did great with all the little ones. Hannah Starr gets a star - along with Ian.... ( very energetic 4 year old class!!)
The construction team had a great day, got a lot done and got kinda dirty! They worked very hard!!
Tomorrow we do VBS and construction again as well as sing at a local homeless shelter. The drama team will present the Lifehouse "Everything" skit. Very impactful!!

We met and had a brief rehearsal alongside several of the students at Kilbourne Park BC - where the new minister of music is casting the vision for a student choir ministry. We hope they enjoyed singing with us.

I could not be prouder of YOUR students. Stay tuned for more pics!!

Thank you FBCJ for supporting these students. Your investment will count for eternity!!

Tomorrow I look forward to my husband JOHN coming to join us along with ROGER -- the finest Middle School dude in all the land! ( you two behave on the ride up!!)
